Acoustic carpets are nothing new, in fact they have been around since the 1980?s and prior to that people as far back as the 1970’s used normal thick carpets for acoustic control applications.
Authentic Acoustic Carpets are not made of the same materials as normal carpets to create the weaves. If normal thread materials are used the result will be that whilst it will absorb reverberation from the high pitch frequency band it will do practically nothing for mid range and low bass frequencies. This inevitably will lead to system failure. Modern day carpets are even worse as the materials used thickness of strand and weave method designs are not suitable for acoustic application.
NoiseBlock Icoustic Acoustic Carpets use NoiseBlock MThread to fabricate the carpets this and the mesh weave result in a good Acoustic Control from the carpet.

The Acoustic & Sound Dampening Carpet 12 BMC 12 is very good as a finish when using our NoiseBlock Flooring Systems. This is a result of our BarrierMat 4mm being laminated to the material.
This then offers additonal sound dampening results and is also effective at reducing reverberation noise too.
