Soundproofing for Ceiling
Ceiling soundproofing product in the market are few and far between. Often we are presented with basic typical building materials packaged into a system with one element being represented as the key component to change these normal building materials into a magical soundproof ceiling system. Unfortunately all too often the results from the key component material produce placebo results leaving the end user confused on how to resolve the problem.

Soundproofing & Acoustics soundproofing ceiling products have been designed and developed specifically for noise mitigation purposes and completely different to that of the average building materials been used in the market. Over the years our research and development department has worked with our site installers acoustic engineers and installers to understand more about the scenarios faced when mitigating the various soundproofing ceiling issues problems.

The main primary issues faced with soundproofing treatments for ceilings are from
- Structural borne impact noise
- Airborne Noise and
- Vibration transmission
Please find below our ceiling soundproofing products to mitigate these problems:
Soundproof Ceiling & Vibration Dampening Sheet
NoiseBlock Ceiling Vibration Dampening Sheet 6
Combination Viscos Elastic Polymer based mat at 6mm thickness with compression and high density core finished with a dissipation lamination layer for improved noise mitigation performance. Self-Adhesive but when layered match this product with Viper-Glue for improved cohesion.
Excellent Airborne Noise Reduction
≈ AGV STL 22dB(A)

NoiseBlock DFB+200 L
NoiseBlock Dense Fibre Block 200 Kg Density laminated is great allrounder in Noise Mitigation and it is an integral part of any soundproofing insulation for ceiling application. If you are new to soundproofing and new to ceiling great thing about DFB is that it can be used in Ceiling works, Walls and Floors as well as boxup jobs. Which means even when you have some left over from your project the material wont go to waste.
Excellent Airborne Noise Reduction
Adds 200%
≈ AGV STL 22dB(A)

NoiseBlock DGM Insulation 20
NoiseBlock DGM Insulation is a 20mm ultra high density multi composition foam based insulation that integrates into any ceiling sound solution perfectly. Because of its density and composition it is very effective at absorption of low base frequencies and when installed with DFB compliments the imperfections in the DFB frequencies absorption coefficientcy range creating a more balanced reduction ratio from low to high range
In situation whereby space constraints are a factor you can double up on the layering of the NoiseBlock DGM Insulation is a 20mm for better ceiling soundproofing results.
Excellent Airborne Noise Reduction
Adds 200%
≈ AGV STL 15dB(A)

Soundproofing Ceiling Insulation Ultra 250
Soundproofing & Acoustics Ultra Ceiling 250mm Insultation Mass features multiple materials and multiple densities in a 250mm total layering for excellent noise reduction properties.
It’s the number one choice for many of our customers which is supported by our customers whom have given very positive feedback on the results post installation.
Adds 200%
≈ AGV STL 15+25dB(A)
Excellent against Impact, Airborne & Vibration Noise

Soundproofing Ceiling Finishing Board
With any method of soundproofing that you embark on for ceiling application you will most certainly need an architectural ceiling finish to coverup all of the soundproofing materials you have installed onto your ceiling. For most professionals in the industry and the same can be said for contractors and builders they often will take a short cut at the final stages and use normal plaster board or gypsum board panels to finish up the job.
NoiseBlock Soundproofing Ceiling Finishing Board has been specially formulated to have higher than standard density and mass in comparison to typical solutions used on the market. The composition of the material and its ingredients are also different specially selected into a blend that when formed into our soundproof panels creates the perfect recipe for a highly soundproofed ceiling panel finishing layer. The board thickness is 17mm, its both fire rated, and sound rated with 2h fire resistance and 15dB(A) in noise control performance.
Excellent Airborne Noise Reduction
Adds 200%
≈ AGV STL 10-15dB(A)

Soundproof Ceiling System Packages
Soundproofing & Acoustic Soundproof Ceiling System 269 (Floating Ceiling)
This is one of our premier residential soundproofing ceiling systems suitable for high noise reduction requirements. Its total thickness is 269mm and it offers a maximum of up to 90% reduction of the noise reduction.
In our years of experience we have found that there is a threshold whereby the makeup of the system and the reduction of the noise is at its optimum efficiently starting point. In simple terms. We have found that only at a certain point do we suddenly see a massive jump in the noise reduction and mitigation effects for ceiling soundproofing application. We are not able to share that threshold point with you online, but rest assured the reason our systems are so thick is because of this principle. We refer to this principle as: Nelson’s Principle of Vertical Gravimetric channelled structural borne noise absorption threshold.

Soundproofing & Acoustic Soundproof Ceiling System 200
The 200 system is a smaller version of the 269 soundproof ceiling system. It still features a floating ceiling engineering mechanism, multiple layers of insulation and engineered frameworks but its just a little less layering’s and slimer materials. The result is 200mm thickness still very substantial, but the sound reduction performance is reduced to around 80% effectiveness.
This system is more suitable for lower ceiling heights that can be found in Singapore’s HDB Flats, UK Council Houses, Public Housing and Flats in China and a lot of buildings in Vietnam and Thailand.
As you can gather our ceiling systems have been installed all over the world and with positive feedback and scientific post test data proving the systems effectiveness in combating sound pollution from ceilings.
