Soundproofing Doors

Door Retro-fitting Soundproofing Solutions:

Door soundproofing is often a quite misunderstood technology or term used in the industry. Take any door as a starting point, a basic hollow door, rockwool lined door, solid door, laminated door, glass door, fire door etc; and then apply something to the door, insert or modify to give it better soundproof sound attenuation.
In short it is to apply a treatment onto an existing door to increase its sound resistance properties.

One of our typical methods for soundproofing doors is by using a perimeter seal and EXP Insulation on doors such as in the photo above. Which results in maintaining this beautifully crafted door but creating that desired soundproofing result that you need from your door; which the case of the photo above increased its sound attenuation by 20dB(A) which the customer was extremally satisfied with.

This particular soundproofing door was a vintage made door and required to be remodeled in  traditional soundproofing technique which we then outfitted with EXP Insulation inside the honeycomb cavity cells and increased the acoustic performance by 15dB(A).
